Frequently asked questions
Is a general power of attorney legally binding?
It binds the parties once signed and once the form requirements for that document type are met. Some documents require a notary, witnesses or registration to take full effect.
Can I change it later?
Yes. Create a new document that amends or revokes the previous one, state clearly that it replaces the old version, and keep both on file.
Does it need to be registered?
It depends on the type. Marital property agreements must be registered, wills are normally made before a notary, and lasting powers of attorney must be acknowledged.
What does it cost?
Drafting and filling in is free. You pay only when you download or send the document for signature. The price shown at the top includes VAT.
Can we sign digitally?
Yes. LegalDock supports simple electronic signatures (SES) under eIDAS with a full audit trail. Documents requiring a notary or witnesses must be signed in person.
